Main Site News | I might be back (But only a little) by GIDustin on Jul 22 2008, 11:44 PM | | First, been awhile since the last update, few years or so
Second, Banned about 150 more IPs today. MMMMMM
The Civ3Files part of the site is, well, dead, and will stay dead. Any errors that crop up will most likely not be fixed.
The HTML Tutorial part of the site will not be expanded any time soon, but errors will be fixed.
The forums are my pride and joy, even if not used, so they will be updated. Hence the post.
- GIDustin | | (0 Comments) | | Current Projects by GIDustin on Mar 8 2007, 3:58 PM | | I have been working on ideas for a new v13 of my site. It would be a complete rework of the site to maximize performance. Many things wont change during the transition.
This is all brought about by a project I am thinking of starting, my own MUD. I have plenty of ideas, I am just not sure if I have the ability to actually code it all out.
Between the site re-code, the MUD, and World of Warcraft, CivFiles will be pretty much abandoned still. It will be accessable, but not updated. | | (0 Comments) | | CivFiles Future by GIDustin on Feb 25 2007, 2:16 AM | | About a month or two ago I went on a massive updating spree and added over 300 files to the CivFiles archive in an attempt to bring it up to date. After doing so, I then realized that it was futile to try to catch up after being inactive for so long. I used to use Thunderfall's weekly downloads list to keep my site updated. TF's list now links to CFC's built in download system, and not the forums like it used to, which is the way I preferred it. I now have to look at the list of new files, then search for each one to find the thread. Also, now that updates are handled via the built in download system, I can no longer just track forum threads to see which files have been updated, meaning that my site would only contain the first version of every file and not be updated.
All in all, keeping the site up to date is no longer feasible on my own, especially since my interest in the Civilization is on the decline. For that reason, I will most likely not be updating the site.
However, since Lunarpages has thrown immense amounts of web space and bandwidth at me, I will not be taking the site down, but rather leaving it as a landmark website.
To all those with which I used to play the Civ Series, you can now find me playing World of Warcraft, Deathwing server, on Horde side.
/goodbye | | (0 Comments) | | Updates Halted by GIDustin on Jan 4 2007, 5:45 AM | | A few days ago my main computer died. I was hoping to have it running by now but the motherboard is my problem and a replacement won't arrive for a few days. Once I recieve that and get my main computer back up and running, I will begin updates again.
Until then, help pay for my new motherboard by clicking on my google ads. You would be surprised at how much a single click will help. | | (0 Comments) | | 12-19-06 Updates by Administrator on Dec 19 2006, 3:20 PM | | Updates so far today:
